Work experience

Tesco - Senior UX Designer - Jun 2022 - Present My current work at Tesco is focused on enhancing payment journeys and wallet capabilities, across both web and app. Working within the Tesco infrastructure is particularly exciting because it means I get to collaborate with many amazing colleagues, across many areas of the business, as my work contributes to various, wide-reaching key user journeys. I've worked on continuous discoveries, migrations and completely new functionality to make customers online shopping experience even easier.

TUI - Senior UX Designer - Mar 2019 - May 2022 My final piece of work at TUI involved an extensive and rigorous piece of research and design work centred around developing the Wellbeing intranet site. A majority of my time at TUI I was spent leading research and design on both cean and river cruise digital touchpoints. This encompassed the designing websites, pre-cruise digital interactions and digital products used onboard the cruise ships. Additionally during my time there, I was one of the designers leading their global digital transformation project, working across multiple markets in the EU to deliver a consistent experience. I also developed and led a Digital Accessibility initiative, to educate and apply accessibility principles across digital touchpoints.

RS Components - UX Designer - Jul 2018 - Feb 2019 During my time at RS Components, I led the design, research and testing for a key product bundle building tool. I also worked with SEO colleagues, in partnership with Google, to redesign the product page template, ensuring that we were optimising our position on search engine results pages. Additionally, I established the preliminary iteration of the component library, in collaboration with the development team.

UK Parliament - UX Designer - Mar 2017 - Jun 2018 I was very fortunate to be able to join the design team at UK Parliament in its infancy, so I helped to establish the design team, processes, component library and a ‘Design Toolkit’ consisting of artefact templates. I led kick off workshops for new projects, ideation workshops and design sprints. I collaborated very closely with non-digital colleagues across Parliament in order to digitise processes and content that had historically never been digitised.

Barclays - UX Designer - Sep 2015 - Feb 2017 My UX career started at Barclays where I was able to lead the design for a key regulatory piece work, within a multidisciplinary team, centred around helping customers to understand how to manage their repayments. Additionally, I developed my user research skills for a piece of work revising the approach to different offer types on credit card products.
